Our Mission

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to transform shared meals into meaningful impact, ensuring vital resources reach the families and organizations who need them most.

who WE are &

who we HELP

Each year, 1.9 million Americans and their families are affected by cancer. Chefs Against Cancer partners with  local non-profits each year to benefit the Charlotte Cancer community.

Chefs Against Cancer Dinner Gala: A Taste of Life

Chefs Against Cancer, (C.A.C.) is awaiting its 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. We are about uniting the power of food, community, and compassion to fight cancer where it matters most—locally. Through our annual dinner gala and signature culinary events, we raise funds to uplift small, often overlooked charities and under-served nonprofits in Charlotte, such as Xander’s Acts of Kindness and The Meggs Foundation.

2025 Non-Profit Partners

Chef Mark Allison, founder of Chefs Against Cancer, was inspired by his own personal story in his vision for the event, “My beautiful wife Alison was diagnosed with stage-four Carcinoid Syndrome in 2008. Originally given three years to live, she courageously battled for eight years before passing away in 2015 at the age of 50 years old. Not once did Alison complain about her condition or ask, “Why me?” She was such a driving force of inspiration. It has been ten and half years since her passing, and NOW is the time to help and support others in the same situation. Together, we can all make a difference in the lives of the people we love. Chefs Against Cancer is a tribute to Alison and a celebration of life for all those affected by cancer.”
