Climb for Life
In July 2026, Chef Mark Allison will climb Mount Kilimanjaro for one reason: to turn a personal challenge into real help for families facing cancer.
This climb is deeply personal. Mark lost his first wife, Alison, after an eight-year battle with cancer. Through that journey, he saw the strength it takes to keep going, the weight families carry, and the importance of community when life becomes hardest.
Now, through Chefs Against Cancer, Mark is climbing for those we have lost, those still fighting, and the caregivers who show up every day.
Our goal is to raise $19,341, one dollar for every foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Every donation helps support local cancer charities doing meaningful work for people and families in our community.
This is more than a climb.
It is a tribute.
It is a mission.
It is a way to bring people together around hope, strength, and action.

Join us on Tuesday, July 14th from 4:00–8:00 PM at Chipotle, 4336 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209 for a delicious fundraiser benefiting Chefs Against Cancer.
When you dine with us, 25% of event sales will be donated back to Chefs Against Cancer, helping us continue our mission of raising funds and awareness for local cancer charities in the Charlotte community.
To make sure your meal counts toward the fundraiser, please follow these simple steps:
Order in person and show the flyer at checkout, or order online for pickup using code Y2FEMDJ.
Online orders must be placed through the Chipotle app or Chipotle.com, must be for pickup only, and must be placed during the fundraiser hours at the Park Road location. Delivery orders and gift cards do not qualify, because even burritos have rules.
